Applications are invited for the international students to apply for the Agha Khan Foundation scholarships 2022-2023. Like each year. Agha Khan foundation awarded a limited number of international students to study in different universities. These scholarships are in limited numbers which means applicants with high and bright academic qualifications are encouraged to apply for these scholarships. Applicants from under developing countries and excellent backgrounds will be chosen by AKDN. AKDN will award only those students who have no financial means to continue their studies. When these students will done their scholarship studies they will be able to stand in the face of employment and will be a part of the AKDN family. AKDN scholarship application procedure will start in January and ends in March.
AKDN will award these scholarships in quote a unique way which makes the students not dependable on anyone. AKDN will provide 50% scholarships and 50% loan supporting methods for students. The selection procedure will be held via the competitive application process. This process is held in June and July each year. These scholarships are for Masters’s programs but AKDN will also consider Ph.D. students who are determined to apply for scholarships through Agha Khan University.

Residency Requirements:
Agha Khan Foundation will accept applicants only from the specific countries where Agha Foundation, Agha Khan Education Services AKES, or Agha Khan Education Board offices have been established. It will ease the application procedure and interviews.

Age Requirements:
Applicants who are desirous to apply for AKDN scholarships must be under 30 years.
Financial Advantages:
AKDN assistant financially to the successful applicants only in terms of tuition fee waiver and living expenses. AKDN will also support candidates with some travel expenses. For Ph.D. programs AKDN will provide support financially only for two years and the rest of the program will be assisted by the students themselves. AKDN also advised students also get some other means of assistance for completing their degree programs. AKDN will prefer those students who also get some other alternative source.

Selection Criteria:
Applicants will get these scholarships if they have the following abilities
- If the applicant has genuine need of the scholarship then he will be selected for AKDN scholarships
- Applicants must have an excellent academic record
- Applicants intended to get scholarships in a highly reputable university
- Applicants need to get admissions in the relevant field of study which are focused areas of AKDN.
- Applicants must have an interest in extracurricular activities
- Applicants must describe the educational and careers plans in the demonstration
Loan Clauses:
AKDN will only provide 50% amount of the scholarships and the rest of 50% will be provided to applicants as a loan. This loan will be reimbursed by the students with an annual charge of 5% which is necessary for the candidates to return it. A guarantor is required to cosign the loan agreement. The total payback period is 5 years and the applicants will start to give after 6 months of starting their scholarships.
Deadline:
The last date to submit the application for AKDN is 31st March. Though this deadline can be an early deadline in different countries in order to process and review applications. Applicants need to contact local officers for updates on deadlines. Later or incomplete applications will not be entertained

Application Procedure:
The application process starts 1st of January each year. Applicants will get the application form from AKF offices or Aga Khan Education Services. Boards in their relevant countries. Incomplete applications will be back to the applicants not further processed.
Interview and Selection Process:
Applicants should be prepared to be interviewed by the local scholarship committee about their financial situation, their academic performance, extracurricular achievements, and career paths. Applicants will be notified after the selection meetings which will be held in late June or early July.
